With sullen eyes I see the twinkling dew
On the chrysanthemums blooming in time due.
The chilly winds chase the broken osiers;
The reed-pipe elicits the roamer's tears.
The tower's shadow in the water sleeps;
The mountain pass in the dying sun steeps.
The nestling birds're mute under the night cloak;
Only the late coming crows loudly croak.
